- As well as LinkedIn Live integration (from version 12.1), Wirecast integrates with pretty much any live streaming platform including Facebook Live, YouTube Live, Periscope, Twitch and via RTMP. You can also broadcast to more than one platform at one time if your computer is up to it.

- Wirecast 6.0.1 – Stream live from the desktop. November 27, 2014 Wirecast lets you capture an unlimited number of input devices from live camera feeds, iOS cameras (coming soon), computer desktop, Web feeds, and more.
- Create a new live stream player or select an existing ones.
- Go to 🎥 Live Studio
- Choose RTMP Encoder as your Source.
- Install Wirecast on your computer.
- Open Wirecast and select Output, then Output Settings.
- In the Output Settings, select RTMP Server to set up your RTMP details.
- Give your RTMP Server settings a name. We recommend naming it the same as your stream quality, such as Stream 1080p.
- Now select the Encoding Drop Down List to choose your desired transmission quality such as H.264 1080p.
- We now need to enter the Address by copying the RTMP URL from 🎥 Live Studio and pasting it into the Wirecast Address box.
- With the RTMP Address entered, we'll need to copy the RTMP Key from 🎥 Live Studio and paste it into the Wirecast Stream box.
- You have now created a single primary stream, but don't stop there.
- For best viewing experience, we recommend you set up multi-bit-rate adaptive streaming.
Set Up A Multi-Bitrate Adaptive Streaming With Wirecast ( Recommended )
To configure adaptive live streaming, you need to send a total of three separate streams, each with different resolution and bitrate.
You've already created the primary one. Now you need to repeat the above steps and add stream 2 and stream 3.
IMPORTANT! Use the same RTMP URL and RTMP Key BUT add number '2' and number '3' at the end of the RTMP key. ( see below )

Stream 1 ( Recommendation: 1080p with 4-6 mbit/s )
Stream 2 ( Recommendation: 720p with 2 mbit/s )

- Click on the OK button to save your Stream Server Settings
- Select which source you would like to stream from Wirecast such as a camera or some local videos
- Click the right arrow button to activate the currently selected source.
- Start sending the signal from Wirecast by clicking the Stream Button and check that it's being received in the 🎥 Live Studio
- It takes 40 seconds before the multi-bitrate streams are shown in the player.

Wirecast works with what are called 'shots'—AV segments created from different multimedia sources, such as webcam images, a video from a hard disk, a specially-composed scene, or custom titles.
The Wirecast user can customize these segments as desired by adjusting the program's settings. For each scene you can decide what will appear from each of your shot sources or write your own descriptive text in the titles.
Select which transitions you'd like to apply to your show and then decide what you're going to do with it: stream it live via the Internet or save it in a file to edit later with another program.
